Chaque mois de février, un groupe du travail organise une soirée Trivia pour lever des fonds pour une association de soutien aux personnes atteintes du cancer ou du SIDA. L'année dernière, on m'avait demandé, à la dernière minute, de réaliser trois costumes pour un soi-disant concours de costumes pour l'une de présentatrices. Cette année, j'étais seule maître à bord, avec deux copines pour aider aux derniers coups de peinture et d'aiguille. Le thème était "2010: Odyssee de l'espace (2)". Il fallait également tenir compte de la présentatrice, Jen, qui est du style explosive, aime sauter, danser, courir, donc, faut que les costumes et les chapeaux tiennent malgré ces traitements (et ils ont très bien tenu). En contre-partie, elle accepte de porter les costumes les plus fous, c'est un régal.
Malheureusement, mes demandes auprès des photographes officiels sont restées sans réponses, et je n'ai que quelques-une de mes photos prises entre deux essayages à vous proposer.
Each February, a group at work organizes a big Trivia Night to raise founds for an association of support to people affected by AIDS or breast cancer. Last year, I was asked at the last minute to help create three costumes for a so-called "Project Runway" contest with one of the presenter as the model. This year, I was in charge of all the costumes, with a couple of friends to help out for the finishing touches. The theme was "2010: Space Odyssee". We had to keep in mind that the presenter, Jen, is quite an explosive personality on-stage, she loves to jump, dance, run, meaning that the costumes, and the hats in particular, have to stay in place (and they did). In the meantime, she agrees to wear the craziest costumes, there's no limit, which is such a treat for me.
Unfortunately, my plea to the official photographers for nice pictures have remained ignored, and I only have a few pictures I took between costume changes to share.
